2024-10-24: Spotlight on Libraries and the Need for Accessibility in Open Source Software

Join us for an EquinoxEDU Spotlight about the ongoing accessibility efforts in open source software for libraries. The Spotlight will touch on accessibility work happening in several projects including Evergreen, VuFind®, and CORAL. We will talk about how recent and upcoming work on these projects will help libraries conform to the standards set for state and local governments in the recently signed Department of Justice rule on web and mobile app accessibility. For more on the newly signed rule, check out the web rule fact sheet by visiting the ADA.gov website at https://www.ada.gov/resources/2024-03-08-web-rule/.
